About The Culture

National Lowrider Month honors the people, cars, art, and history that turned lowriding into an American cultural movement.

The lowriding culture stems from a history of ingenuity, from family garages to car clubs and neighborhood pride which built a tradition of craftsmanship, beautiful metallic paints, pinstriping, chrome engraving, dynamic upholstery, car-hoping hydraulics, audio, and most importantly culture- that still connects generations today.

March 2025

In March 2025, the Arizona Legislature issued a proclamation recognizing March as National Lowrider Month, sponsored by Rep. Lydia Hernandez and endorsed by House Speaker Steven Montenegro. With support from other advocacy leaders in the community, the initiative was a bipartisan effort and has become an official salute to lowriding’s creativity, pride, and community impact.
